My Journey

Let me begin with my journey.

I was born to parents who loved me deeply and truly wanted the best for me. They did not have great wealth or many opportunities to pass down. What they lacked in education, exposure, and experience, they made up for in character.

They taught me honesty, integrity, and the value of hard work. More importantly, they instilled in me a strong sense of spirituality and faith. My mother was loving, gentle, and kind-hearted. My father was a hardworking self-employed businessman who never minded getting his hands dirty to provide for his family.

Those values became the foundation of my life.

Growing up, I spent a great deal of time daydreaming. My mind was always drifting somewhere beyond the classroom walls. More than once, a teacher would catch me not paying attention and ask me a question she already knew I could not answer.

Back then, students were often labeled. Group A, Group B, Group C, and so on. Once labeled, many people began believing that label defined who they were.

Thankfully, deep inside, I always carried a quiet belief that I was capable of more, even if I did not yet know how to bring it out of myself.

After graduating from high school, I had grown tired of school altogether. During the Vietnam era, I enlisted in the Army for three years. I came close to being sent to Vietnam, but I was blessed that I never had to go.

By the time my military service ended, I was married and had a beautiful daughter. Like many young men trying to find their place in life, I returned to what was familiar and went back to work as a grocery clerk for a major grocery company.

But deep down, I knew this was not where I belonged. The problem was, I had no idea where I did belong.

Searching for direction, I decided to give school another chance and enrolled part-time at community college. This time was different. Something inside me had changed. I became focused and started paying attention.

Then something happened that surprised me. I earned my first “A.”

The subject was Reading and Comprehension.

After struggling in school for so many years, that one grade meant more to me than anyone could have understood. It gave me confidence and made me realize I could learn after all.

I majored in Business, but it was the humanities that truly awakened me. A course in Logic became a major turning point in my life. It taught me how to think more clearly and more deeply. Psychology soon became another favorite subject. Together, those classes helped shape the way I viewed people, growth, and life itself.

While working my way through school, I held several jobs. Eventually, I became a claims adjuster for a major insurance company. I even had a company car and what many people would consider a successful career.

After five years, though, I felt the need for another challenge and moved into the pharmaceutical industry.

Then life quietly stepped in and changed everything.

As graduation approached, I discovered that the second half of the Music Appreciation course I needed had been canceled. I truly wanted that class because I have always loved music.

After thinking about my options longer than I probably should have, I finally went to see my counselor.

She asked me a simple question. “Do you want to graduate?” I answered, “Of course.”

She smiled and said, “Then pick another elective.” She suggested a Real Estate course.

I immediately replied, “I don’t want to be a real estate agent.”

Her answer would eventually change my life.

“You’re not taking it to become an agent. You’re taking it for the credit.”

 Funny how life works sometimes.

That one decision led me into real estate career, where I eventually became an agent, then a broker, and finally the owner of my own company with over 100 agents.

As I look back over my life now, I can clearly see moments when I was being guided, even when I could not see the path ahead. Many times, I felt uncertain and completely clueless about what direction I should take.

But somehow, doors kept opening.

I believe now that this guidance came from the spirituality my parents planted within me long ago.

Over the years, I became deeply interested in personal growth and human potential. I began reading books like Think and Grow Rich, The Power of Positive Thinking, and The Silva Mind Control Method. I studied everything I could find about self-improvement, positive thinking, the mind, and human behavior. I even used Subliminal learning.

The more I learned, the more convinced I became that human beings use only a fraction of their true mental and emotional potential.

During the years I spent building and managing a company with over 100 independent contractors, I witnessed every kind of human struggle imaginable.

I watched people with little confidence rise to become top performers. I saw talented individuals sabotage themselves because of fear, doubt, and low self-esteem. I also met many people who wanted success but simply had no idea where to begin. In many ways, I saw myself in them.

That is when I realized my true purpose was never just about business or real estate.

It was about helping people believe in themselves.

Whether I was helping buyers and sellers improve their lives or helping agents discover confidence they never knew they had, I found joy in seeing people grow into stronger and better versions of themselves.

That became my passion.

That became my purpose.

Now, I want to share those lessons and experiences with others, If you feel stuck, uncertain, overwhelmed, or alone, know this:

You are capable of far more than you realize.

Sometimes all a person needs are guidance, encouragement, and someone who believes in them before they fully believe in themselves.

Life can improve.

Relationships can heal.

Confidence can grow.

Purpose can be found.

This journey is about becoming the best version of yourself and understanding that no matter where you begin, you can still move forward.

You can still win.
